Umo Eno Welcomes Signature Bank to Akwa Ibom as Uyo Branch Opens

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has welcomed the opening of a new branch of Signature Bank in Uyo, describing the development as a boost to the state’s business and investment environment.

Governor Eno disclosed the development in a post on his verified Facebook page following the official opening of the bank’s Uyo branch.

According to the governor, he joined the management of Signature Bank at the ceremony and formally welcomed the financial institution to Akwa Ibom State.

“Yesterday, I joined the management of Signature Bank for the official opening of its branch in Uyo, and welcomed the Bank to Akwa Ibom State,” Eno stated.

The governor said his administration would continue working to provide an environment where businesses can operate and expand.

Umo Eno Highlights Akwa Ibom Business Reforms

Eno attributed the state’s growing attractiveness to investors to its peaceful environment and ongoing reforms aimed at improving the ease of doing business.

He highlighted the forthcoming launch of AkwaGIS and ongoing electricity reforms as some of the initiatives being pursued by his administration.

“We will continue to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive through the peace and serenity we enjoy, our ease of doing business reforms, the soon-to-be-launched AkwaGIS and ongoing electricity reforms,” the governor said.

Governor Assures Investors of Support

The Akwa Ibom governor also expressed appreciation to Signature Bank for choosing the state as a location for its operations.

Eno assured the bank and other potential investors that Akwa Ibom remains open to business and investment.

“I appreciate Signature Bank for choosing Akwa Ibom and assure them and other investors that our State remains open and ready for business,” he said.

The opening of the Signature Bank branch adds to the financial services available to residents and businesses in Uyo, while the state government continues to promote investment and economic activity.

The development also comes as the Eno administration continues to highlight infrastructure, digital land administration and electricity reforms as part of its efforts to improve the state’s business environment.
