Tensions in the Middle East escalated further after reports emerged that Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones toward Kuwait, triggering air raid sirens and explosions in parts of the Gulf state.
The claim was made by Israel War Room on its verified X account, which reported that Iranian forces had fired multiple projectiles toward Kuwait. According to the account, warning sirens were activated while residents reported hearing several loud explosions.
The reported attack comes amid growing hostilities involving Iran, the United States, and regional allies. Earlier, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces had launched what it described as self-defense strikes against Iranian targets following the downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter. The latest reports suggest that regional tensions may be expanding beyond direct U.S.-Iran confrontations.
Regional media and international news outlets have also reported recent incidents involving Iranian missile and drone launches toward Gulf countries, including Kuwait and Bahrain. U.S. military officials previously stated that several Iranian ballistic missiles aimed at Kuwait and Bahrain were intercepted, while air defense systems in the region remained on high alert.
As of the time of reporting, Kuwaiti authorities had not released a comprehensive statement detailing casualties or damage linked to the latest reported attack. However, security agencies were said to be monitoring the situation closely.
