When former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the ADC leadership visited Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike claimed he was astounded by the governor’s comments.
Speaking in a media parley reported by Channels TV, on Friday April 3, 2026, Wike said, “When the ADC leadership went to see him, I can’t believe what he was saying.
It’s unbelievable. And that’s what I discuss: a political leader’s constancy and character. This individual attempted to negotiate a way to generate a successor with the leaders of the APC, but he was unsuccessful. “He was unable to accomplish it three times,” he remarked.
Wike reported that Governor Bala Mohammed had informed him in private that he would never be able to collaborate with Atiku and that joining the ADC felt like the end of his political career. Wike claimed that he could not connect the governor’s later public actions with that statement.
