Panic in Oyo State as Gunmen Allegedly Invade School, Witness Recounts Ordeal

Magaji Elesho Ele, Yekinni Abioye, has recounted the terrifying moments when suspected bandits reportedly attacked schools in Oyo State, abducting several pupils and students during a community meeting.

Abioye made the revelation during an interview on the WithChude podcast, where he described how residents were thrown into panic after gunmen suddenly invaded the area. According to him, the attack happened in broad daylight, leaving the community shocked and helpless as the kidnappers stormed both primary and secondary schools.

Speaking during the interview, Abioye said the incident began unexpectedly while community leaders and residents were gathered for a meeting on a Friday morning.

“On Friday, around 9am in the morning. We started hearing gunshots out of nowhere. We were in a community meeting. Before we could get up and make findings. Kidnappers invaded our school in both ways already. Both primary and secondary, they packed several children,” he said.
