I Was Even Surprised That Ned Nwoko Could Get Up To 2000 Plus Votes In The Election -Sochukwudima

The Senior Special Adviser to the APC National Chairman on Local Government Affairs, Norbert Sochukwudima, has alleged that he was surprised that Senator Ned Nwoko managed to secure over 2,000 votes in the primary election that produced Ifeanyi Okowa as the party’s candidate for the Delta North Senatorial District.

Speaking on Arise TV, Sochukwudima said, “I was even surprised that Nwoko could get up to 2,000 plus votes in the election. You know why? The structure of the party. We have 98 ward chairmen and the state executive committee. We have the local government chairmen. We have the local government council chairmen, who are members of the party. We have the commissioners. We have the House of Assembly members. We have critical stakeholders and top leaders who are all in support of Ifeanyi Okowa.”

Sochukwudima also spoke to Okowa’s legacy in Delta North, describing him as a governor who left a visible and lasting mark on communities across the senatorial district during his eight years in office.

He noted that Okowa holds a historically significant place as the first Delta North indigene to govern Delta State, and that his impact was felt at the grassroots level, pointing to his own community, which he said benefited from two roads that residents still use today.

Sochukwudima said that kind of tangible development, replicated across nearly every community in Delta North, is what made Okowa’s support base so formidable.
