“Reject Tinubu’s 2027 Ambition” — NCP Chieftain Raises Allegations Over President’s Credentials

The NCP member further alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) manipulated the electoral process to ensure Tinubu’s emergence as president.

A member of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Mrs. Mosunmola Opeyemi, has accused Nigerian President Bola Tinubu of using “fake credentials” to secure victory in the 2023 presidential election, while calling on Nigerians to mobilise against his possible re-election in 2027.

In a statement titled, “Wake Up Nigeria: Save Our Democracy,” Opeyemi alleged that Tinubu submitted forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the 2023 election and claimed that some lawyers had approached the courts over allegations of forgery and perjury.

According to her, the courts allegedly failed to determine the matter before the election was conducted.

“Jagaban Tinubu got to Aso Rock with the fake credentials submitted to INEC in 2023 by his party,” she said.

“He was exposed and some lawyers took the case of forgery and perjury to court before the election. However, the court failed to rule on his fake documents which he submitted to INEC.”

The NCP member further alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) manipulated the electoral process to ensure Tinubu’s emergence as president.

“Tinubu and his party did everything wrong to declare him as a winner of the 2023 election, by INEC,” she added.

She also alleged that the APC leadership was attempting to shield the president ahead of the 2027 election cycle.

According to her, the party’s decision not to subject Tinubu to internal screening processes was part of efforts to “cover up” issues surrounding his qualifications, health and age.

“His party and his men are doing everything to cover up for him, that is why his party APC did not want to screen him for the 2027 election and that is why their governors and Mr. Shettima submitted his form while he was not around,” she said.

“Tinubu, his party and his men know that he is not qualified to run but they are covering up for him.”

Opeyemi also referenced past controversies surrounding Tinubu, including the forfeiture of funds in the United States linked to alleged narcotics trafficking.

“The drug crime and forfeiture of $460,000 proceeds of narcotics trafficking in Chicago, USA, remains a sure basis for his disqualification,” she alleged.

She accused the APC of attempting to retain power in 2027 to continue “corruption,” while urging Nigerians both at home and abroad to resist what she described as “evil plans.”

“We must stop Tinubu now, with the same 2026 purported electoral act made by him and his party for them to continue,” she said.

“If democracy is government by the people, for the people, we must engage ourselves now, here and all over the world to stop Tinubu and his evil plans.”

The statement further called on citizens not to remain silent, insisting that Nigerians had historically resisted leaders and policies they opposed.

“We forced Gen. Babangida to step aside, we stopped President Obasanjo’s third term bid, we moved and put Jonathan in power in 2010. We can stop Tinubu and the time is now,” she said.

“Tinubu is not bigger than us, we must not allow him to enslave all of us.”
