Gani Adams Calls for Urgent Security Reforms to Protect South-West

Gani Adams raised alarm over escalating security challenges in the Southwest. He called on the federal government to sanction the creation of state police to address the surge in insecurity across Nigeria. According to him, the latest attacks and breaches show that criminal gangs and terrorist elements are intensifying their activities in the area.

Gani Adams said, “The terrorists have decided to bombard the Southwest. State police are essential.”

Adams further appealed to residents to support security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious movements and activities to the relevant authorities. He also urged southwest governors to deepen collaboration with local institutions and community-based security structures.
