In a recent interview shared by Channels TV, lawyer and policy analyst Liborous Oshoma has provided insight into the deepening leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), highlighting the uncertainty facing key stakeholders in the party.
Speaking on the ongoing legal disputes and internal divisions, Oshoma noted that the faction loyal to David Mark is currently at a crossroads as court proceedings continue to shape the party’s future. He explained that the outcome of pending cases will determine the political direction of the group ahead of crucial electoral activities.
“The David Mark faction wants to know its fate whether to remain in ADC or move en masse to another party.”
According to Oshoma, the situation reflects a broader challenge within Nigeria’s opposition parties, where prolonged litigation and leadership tussles often disrupt party cohesion and strategic planning. He stressed that without a clear and timely judicial resolution, affected factions may be forced to consider alternative political platforms.
He further noted that time constraints imposed by electoral guidelines, including deadlines for primaries and candidate submissions, add urgency to the situation.
