Sowore had dismissed the arraignment as a “ruse and cover-up”, alleging that it was intended to protect those who planned, sponsored and carried out the attack.
He also called for the immediate removal or suspension of the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, accusing his command of mishandling the investigation and allegedly concealing crucial evidence.
The activist maintained that none of the principal suspects identified by his team had been arrested or presented before a court, arguing that the prosecution of the 11 individuals failed to address questions about those who allegedly masterminded the attack.
Sowore further revealed that investigations conducted by his team had identified 12 individuals and government officials whose alleged links to the incident, according to him, warranted independent criminal investigations.
Those named included Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji; his Chief Security Officer, CSP Ayodele Akinlua; Commissioner of Police, Falade Adegoroye Michael; and the state Director of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Others were Adenijo Sola, popularly known as Solar; Omotuyi Temitope, also known as Tope Jinadu Small; former National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, President and presidential aide, Asefon Sunday Dayo; and Governor Oyebanji’s Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode.
He also mentioned Makinde Araoye and other organisers of the Ikogosi Marathon, Ayodeji Akintade Ifeoluwa, popularly known as AK; the Managing Director of the Federal Housing Authority, Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo; and Lere Olayinka Aresa, an aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
According to Sowore, the names were identified through information gathered by his team, adding that the individuals should be questioned to determine whether they had any connection with the incident.
He also raised concerns over the alleged removal of CCTV equipment from the restaurant, claims that surveillance recordings had been erased, and the whereabouts of mobile phones and other electronic devices reportedly taken during the attack.
The activist urged the Inspector-General of Police to establish an independent investigative panel, recover the missing devices, secure electronic evidence and subject available CCTV recordings to forensic examination.
He further demanded that the police make public the charges brought against the 11 arraigned persons and disclose the evidence linking them to the incident.
Sowore insisted that anyone found to have been involved in the attack through credible evidence should be prosecuted, regardless of their political position or security status.
Meanwhile, the Ekiti State Police Command and the other individuals mentioned in his allegations had yet to publicly respond to the latest demands.
The #RevolutionNow Movement said the N1 million reward would be presented to anyone whose credible information leads to the identification of those responsible and helps secure justice for the victims.
