2027: You ran away from erosion, I tamed Atlantic Ocean – Tinubu blasts Peter Obi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched a scathing attack on the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Friday, Tinubu said Obi ran from erosion, but he, Tinubu, has tamed the Atlantic Ocean.

According to him, Obi is now in the NDC to run for president, stressing that Obi could not handle erosion in Anambra when he was governor.

“Peter Obi is in one party they call NDC where he’s running for president. He ran away from erosion in Anambra. He couldn’t confront erosion. I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, confronted the Atlantic Ocean. I tamed it for you,” Tinubu said.

He said Lagos faced a bigger threat from the Atlantic Ocean when he was governor, but he did not run; he stayed, confronted it, and tamed it.

He asserted that Nigeria needs a leader who confronts problems, not one who runs away from them, adding that Obi has moved from party to party, from PDP to Labour Party and now to NDC, but the erosion he left in Anambra is still there.
