Iran: Those Small Boats Are Not Going To Sink A Tanker Or Sink A Container Ship —Brent Sadler

According to a report by Fox News, on Sunday April 26, 2026, despite ongoing tensions and frequent provocations in the region, the U.S. military’s strategic approach to dealing with Iranian fast-boat threats remains unchanged.

According to retired Navy Captain Brent Sadler, whose insights were recently discussed on Fox News, these maneuvers by Iran are recognized as harassment rather than existential threats to global shipping.

“I don’t think it really should change or temper the approach the U.S. military is being put to use in the region,” Sadler noted.

He emphasized that the U.S. military has been prepared for these scenarios since the outset of the tensions: “It’s just part of the design. We’ve had the capacities from day one to identify and go after those small boats. Those are the type of threats they’re not going to sink a tanker, they’re not going to sink a container ship. They are harassment; they can be identified and seen fairly early”.
