Social media users have taken to their official X account on Saturday, June 6, 2026 to react to the statement that was made by Lauretta Onochie after former President of Africa Development Bank, ADB, Akin Adesina spoke about Atiku.
In the video that surfaced online, Akin Adesina narrated how the former Vice President supported him when he wanted to become the President of the African Development Bank.
According to Akin Adesina;
“General Abdulsalam called me and said you are going to need help to be able to win the election. I said where am I going to get the help from? He said I should go and meet His Excellency Atiku Abubakar. His Excellency did not hesitate, he flew me on his jet to South Africa to see the President. I had only five minutes to make my case and he was standing right beside me”.
Reacting, Lauretta Onochie stated that Akin Adesina has confirmed that Atiku Abubakar is a helper of other people’s destinies.
According to Lauretta Onochie on her official X account;
“You’re a helper of other people’s destinies”.
