Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana has discussed the US’s rescue of American citizen Philip Walton, who was kidnapped in Nigeria in October 2020.
Falana claimed Walton was kidnapped in the Niger Republic and transported to a jungle in Sokoto State in a video provided by TVC. According to him, the US government used monitoring drones to determine Walton’s precise location.
Falana claimed that when American forces arrived at the Kidnappers’ position, they used chemicals that put both the kidnappers and Walton to sleep. He stated that Walton was rescued and six kidnappers who were there during the operation were slain.
As Falana stated: He was brought to a forest in Sokoto State by the offenders. The Americans used a drone from Washington to locate the bush, then sent a plane that landed in Niger Republic and drove to the exact spot. Now, what happens is this: when they arrive at the precise location, they will spray the area, everybody will be made to sleep, and then you take the victim. And that is exactly what they did. They moved the victim to an ambulance to recuperate, and then they killed six of them (bandits) who were close by.
